I promised everyone pictures of the bags but I am not a great picture taker.  The girls are cute and the bags are cute but somehow this picture makes the bag look so big.  It is not as big as it appears.  However, this is a picture of the bags we will be making for our workshops.  Notice the two different colors and the little bit of fringe.  The girls were very happy with their bags.  They picked out everything themselves.

Supplies:  1/2 yard of cotton fabric for one side of bag
1/2 yard of cotton fabric for the other side of bag
                 Thread to match

For the August 15 & 17 workshop we will be making a donut pillow.  I glued some pom poms on the pillow but any kind of embellishment would work.  Small jewels, buttons, scraps of material, etc. or the frosting could be made out of a cute cotton material that had a print already on it.  I am just showing you a basic pillow and color.  I want the girls to make it their own.  The pillow measures 22 inches x 22 inches.  It is large.  Fleece, minky, and cotton would all work fine for this pillow.  Look through your scraps.  Almost anything would work.

Supplies needed:  22 inches of fabric for top frosting piece
24 inches of fabric for donut material
                             32 ounces (2 pounds) of poly-fil stuffing
                             embellishments desired
                             thread

If you choose to make a smaller donut pillow less material would be needed and we will adjust pattern in class.

For my beginning sewing workshops in August we will be making a sweet treat pillow.  On August 7 and 9 we are making an ice cream cone pillow.  It is pretty easy and fun.  I did not embellish the top but pom poms, jewels, buttons, even cut up scraps of material, etc. would all look cute.   The ice cream cone measures 25 inches across and 41 inches down.  It really is rather big.  If you want a smaller one we would adjust that at the workshop.  Remember if you go smaller then you don't need quite as much material.  Fleece, flannel, cotton, minky, etc. would all work great.

Supplies to purchase include:  27 inches of fabric for the ice cream.
24 inches of fabric for the cone.
                                                 32 ounces of fiberfill (stuffing).
                                                 Thread to match
                                                 Embellishments if desired.

I will supply:  Machines, sewing tools, glue, and pattern.

I am so excited to be teaching again.  It has taken us awhile to move to a new house and neighborhood and we are finally settled into our new area.  If anyone is interested in sewing lessons, quilting, bindings, etc. just call me.  I would love to meet you.  I also have a mending business as well.  This is my latest flyer that I sent out advertising a couple of workshops that I am planning and announcing sewing lessons starting in the fall.  Call or text me if you are interested.  We will be making a donut pillow and a pair of shorts or an ice cream cone pillow and a pair of shorts for the workshops.  I have kits available or a supply list will be posted soon.
